Please join us for an OnlineLIVE
Practice Day of meditation, contemplation, guidance and silence.
All levels of experience are invited, whether you are new or an experienced meditator.
We enter from where we are and following the Great Guideline for Mindfulness: Taking one step after the other!
Through our OnlineLIVE setting, we have the opportunity to alternate formal & daily life practice into a truly enriching experience. We can explore, how the time unfolds for us, without having to plan anything, so that the next thing comes to us, rather than we having to decide. In this way we are heading directly into the heart of life and cultivating a basic friendliness to whatever is arising.
When we stop trying, when we give up defending, thinking, controlling and effort-ing, only then can the brightness of awareness, which is always present and available, be fully known. Specifically, we investigate how to cultivate mindfulness of breath, body, feelings and thoughts during different guided and silent practice periods, and how to apply this to all waking moments ‘off the cushion’.
Teachings are appropriate for everyone including health care professionals.
If you are a health care professional, you will be able to incorporate the skills and practices offered in this Retreat Day in ways to benefit your clients.
At the end of the Mindfulness Practice Day you will better able to:
- Identify at least 4 benefits of mindfulness meditation.
- Incorporate practices to develop a sense of calm and contentment in chaotic situations.
- Utilise experiential practices to develop moment to moment awareness.
- Utilise mindfulness practices to skilfully experience anxiety in the process of reducing it.
You are most welcome to attend again!
You can use this as a refresher for your mindfulness practice as well as a restorative day in your life.
It would be beneficial to ask your family and friends for space and privacy during the Practice Day. However, during the rest periods there is no ‘noble’ silence and you would be able to interact with your household. In this way we can practice to bring silence into talking & stillness into motion.
